Backstory

I was the first in my family to graduate from college. Along the way, I learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and personal responsibility—but I also learned that none of us succeeds alone. The kindness, encouragement, and support I received from others inspired my lifelong commitment to serving my community.

My husband and I chose Broomfield in 2005 as the place to build our future and raise our two children, and it has been our home ever since.

Over the past two decades, I’ve grown to appreciate everything that makes Broomfield special—its welcoming neighborhoods, strong sense of community, outstanding library and recreation centers, and its unique location between Denver, Boulder, and the mountains. As our city has grown, I’ve also seen that the needs of our community have grown.

Through my work at The Refuge, I meet people every day who are struggling to find housing, work, or enough food to support themselves and their families. Those experiences have reinforced my belief in listening first, treating people with dignity, and connecting them with resources that empower them to move forward.

I’m running because I want to continue serving the community that has given so much to all of us. I believe in thoughtful policies that expand housing opportunities, support residents at every stage of life, and ensure everyone has access to essential services. I am committed to being accessible, holding regular community office hours, and creating more opportunities for residents to share their ideas and concerns. I don’t see this position as a steppingstone to something else—I simply want to represent Broomfield with integrity, compassion, and a genuine commitment to the people who call it home.
