Katie is a resident looking to support the community by weighing the tough decisions.
I’m here because I love Broomfield and and the people in it. I know many residents don’t have the time to pay close attention to everything happening with the city. I aim to be that representative that is trusted to act in the people’s best interests.
Katie’s Priorities
Building a Stronger, More Connected Broomfield
I believe the best communities are built by neighbors who care for one another. My years of volunteer service have shown me that when residents, nonprofits, businesses, and local government work together, we can solve problems and strengthen our city. As your City Council representative, I’ll focus on practical solutions that improve quality of life while protecting what makes Broomfield such a special place to live.
Supporting Housing Stability and Opportunity
Everyone deserves the opportunity to live, work, and thrive in Broomfield. Whether you’re raising children, living on your own, starting your career, retiring, or caring for loved ones, our community should offer housing options that meet the needs of every stage of life.
Through my work with the Housing Stability Task Force, I’ve brought people together around practical solutions to strengthen housing stability and expand affordable housing opportunities. As your City Council member, I’ll continue working collaboratively to ensure Broomfield remains a welcoming community where everyone can find a place to call home.
Strengthening Community Partnerships
Strong communities aren’t built by government alone. They are built when residents, nonprofits, faith organizations, local businesses, and civic leaders work together toward shared goals. Throughout my volunteer work, I’ve coordinated partnerships, organized community programs, and connected people with opportunities to serve. I’ll bring that same collaborative approach to City Council by listening to residents, supporting local organizations, and encouraging innovative partnerships that make the most of our community resources.
Serving Our Most Vulnerable Neighbors
A caring community ensures no one is left behind. My work with The Refuge has connected me with families facing food insecurity, housing challenges, and social isolation. I’ve worked alongside volunteers and local businesses to provide meals, build community, and create welcoming spaces where everyone feels valued. As a councilmember, I’ll support policies that strengthen local services and partnerships while promoting compassion, dignity, and accountability.
Transparent and Responsive Government
Residents deserve a city government that is accessible, responsive, and committed to good stewardship. Having volunteered within Broomfield’s Building and Planning Department, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of organized, efficient government services. I’ll work to ensure City Hall remains transparent, fiscally responsible, and focused on serving residents with professionalism and respect.
Building Community Connections
One of Broomfield’s greatest strengths is its people. Whether organizing community events, welcoming new volunteers, supporting local nonprofits through 100 Women Who Care, or creating programs that bring neighbors together, I've seen how meaningful connections strengthen our city. As your council member, I’ll continue fostering opportunities for civic engagement, volunteerism, and neighborhood involvement because connected communities are stronger, safer, and more resilient.
Leadership That Listens
Leadership begins with listening. My volunteer experience has taught me that lasting solutions come from bringing people together, hearing diverse perspectives, and focusing on common ground. I’ll approach every decision with an open mind, thoughtful collaboration, and a commitment to serving the entire Broomfield community.
